Operations Supervisor
Full-Time · 40 hrs/week · 12-month · $24/hrReports to: Director – Katia Jasmin
The Operations Supervisor oversees daily classroom operations at Parkview ELC, ensuring efficient staff scheduling, break coverage, and compliance with DCYF licensing requirements (WAC 110-300). This position serves as the communication hub between classroom staff and the Director, and must meet Washington State qualifications for a Center Assistant Director.
Key Responsibilities
- •Create and adjust staff schedules; coordinate daily break and lunch coverage
- •Monitor staff-to-child ratios and licensing requirements throughout the day
- •Conduct walk-throughs to ensure WAC and DCYF compliance
- •Serve as first point of contact for teachers regarding coverage and daily changes
- •Support onboarding and development of new hires, floaters, and substitutes
- •Escalate staffing, safety, and operational concerns to the Director
Qualifications
- •WA State ECE Certificate (47 credits) or DCYF-approved equivalent
- •2+ years teaching children in early learning OR 2+ years admin/management experience
- •Working knowledge of WAC 110-300 and DCYF child care licensing requirements
- •Cleared WA State child care background check required
- •CPR/First Aid, Child Care Basics, and other DCYF-required training
